Located 8 km from Mamaris, Icmeler is a quite, less crowded beach resort surrounded by mountains covered with pine forests. Its history is linked to Marmaris going back to 3000 B.C. There are many historical monuments in this area. The Turkish culture is predominant as it was ruled by the Turks last. There are lots of activities that can be done and many places worth to be viewed in Icmeler.

One can indulge in many activities. Water activities include scuba diving, rafting and snorkeling. One can also go for activities such as ice-skating, horse riding and paragliding. The most famous Turkish Baths form a great attraction for the visitors. Beach Parties, shopping, nightlife, bars, mud bath all the other activities that makes the stay enjoyable.

This island is the meeting point of the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea. The temperature in summers is high, going above 36 ºC that makes it very hot to stay. May and September are the best months to enjoy your vacations in Icmeler.

The Turkish parliament is famous for serving the delicious Turkish cuisine along with the traditional music. Another known restaurant in the area is the Love Boats for its good steaks. The popular Kingsland Chinese Restaurant serves the UK top-lunch every Sunday.
